The Nichols Project consists of 900 acres, and is located within the heart of the historic Karnes County uranium mining district. Karnes County is immediately adjacent to Goliad County, the site of the Company’s advanced Goliad Project operations. The property was originally developed by Texaco Uranium (now ChevronTexaco).
On January 21, 2009 the Company announced that it has received an independent National Instrument 43-101 technical report for the Nichols Project, Karnes County, Texas, that estimates an inferred mineral resource of approximately 900,000 tons of eU3O8, at an average grade of 0.07% or 1,307,000 pounds. This inferred mineral resource estimate was completed using accepted methods mandated by CSA National Instrument 43-101 (“NI 43-101”) and the Canadian Institute of Mining (“CIM”) classifications.
