Besides the Goliad Uranium Project, located in Goliad County, Texas, Uranium Energy Corp has 6 other smaller properties, in relatively early stages of development, which it is pursuing. The Company’s total property portfolio in Texas consists of 6,000 acres at present, including the Goliad Project.
These properties are located throughout the classic South Texas Uranium Trend, which extends for approximately 300 miles through the southeastern part of the state, running approximately parallel to, and 100 miles inland from, the Gulf of Mexico.
All of these properties have been the subject of previous exploration, mostly by major energy companies, in the past. The Company’s objectives for these properties is to determine their viability as satellite deposits for the Goliad Uranium Project. Satellite uranium deposits are typically smaller ore bodies, which ore can be economically shipped, usually by truck, to one central facility where the ore can be treated and prepared for sale.
The process of increasing these land parcels is ongoing. As well, the Company is targeting other properties with satellite deposit potential. New targets are constantly being developed, thanks to the use of historical exploration databases. |
