Burnt Wagon

Wyoming Uranium Mining Projects – Burnt Wagon In this section:

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Uranium Energy Corp’s Burnt Wagon Project is located in the prolific Wind River Basin uranium district, 30 miles west of Casper, Wyoming. The Burnt Wagon Project consists of 4,700 acres of mining leases and claims, and has a comprehensive uranium exploration database, originally generated by Homestake Mining, Kennecott, Rampart Exploration and Kirkwood Oil and Gas, largely between 1969 and 1982. The Company acquired the data from Kirkwood Oil and Gas in May, 2006. The data consists of 500 drill holes, 16,000 feet of drilling data and geological reports. The Burnt Wagon Project is in the eastern end of the Wind River Basin. The prolific Gas Hills Uranium District is on the southern structural margin of the Wind River Basin and approximately 30 miles west of Burnt Wagon. Over 35 million pounds of uranium have been produced from the Gas Hills, and various firms are currently developing properties throughout the district.
