All of Uranium Energy Corp’s Arizona claims were previously the subject of exploration drilling for the incidence of uranium by companies such as Noranda, Inc., Uranerz Energy Corp., Homestake Mining Co., and Oklahoma Public Services. The Company has acquired a 1979 Oklahoma Public Services ("OPS") geologic report contiguous to our claims (Artillery Peak) that indicates the possibility of incidence of uranium. OPS drilling continued on to our claims as evidenced by drill holes verified on the ground, and such drill cuttings were found to be radioactive. Close spaced developmental drilling is indicated on the Company’s claims located at Artillery Peak.
Other projects controlled by Uranium Energy Corp (Esther Basin, Crow Canyon and Dry Mountain) in Arizona were staked on known uranium occurrences as shown on Arizona State publication, "Occurrences of Uranium in Miscellaneous Sedimentary Formations, Diatremes and Pipes and Veins". Additionally, these claims were previously drilled by companies including Homestake Mining Co., Uranerz Energy Corp., and Noranda, Inc. during the 1970's uranium boom. Ground surveys completed by the Company have located various historical drill locations and radioactive anomalies, as evidenced in ground and drill cuttings. The Company confirms that its Arizona claims contain no uranium reserves, and require extensive further exploration. |
